JOY IS IN THE HOUSE SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Terms & Conditions of Service
We’ve got no hidden rules or fees and feel it’s important to tell you up-front what our terms and conditions are when receiving lessons with Ayodele to protect both you and her. Knowing everything up front helps both parties to maintain ease of weekly or fortnightly lessons.
Fees will be invoiced on a ‘per term’ basis, except where other arrangements have been made. The term invoice must be paid in FULL by the end of each term. Lessons can be paid for online, in the studio via cash or EFTPOS at each lesson if that is helpful, in blocks of 3 or in full at the beginning of each term. If paid in full at the beginning of each term, a 10% discount will be applied (equivalent to one free lesson per term). Joy is in the House staff can change the payment arrangement if non-payment occurs with any given account.
All lesson cancellations require 48hrs notice (unless an emergency, for which must be proof must be provided) or the lesson will be forfeited and charged in full. If you wake on the morning of your lesson feeling unwell (sore throat, hurts to swallow, coughing, you are contagious etc) sms or email Joy is in the House and a zoom, facetime or phone lesson will be organised instead for that lesson. Joy is in the House reserves the right to use discretion on a case-by-case basis.
Appointments missed through the client’s non-attendance will be charged in full.
Fair Go Policy: where a client misses multiple appointments during a term, the ’Fair Go Policy’ will be enforced. I.e., a weekly student will not miss more than three lessons in a term, and a fortnightly student will not miss more than two lessons in a term. Every appointment missed outside this allowance will be charged at the full rate.
Appointments cancelled by Joy is in the House staff or Ayodele will be carried forward in a lesson credit to the client.
If you would like to discontinue lessons, the current term must be completed and/or paid in full. Two weeks’ notice must also be given towards the end of the current term being completed.
In the event, that default of payment of any given account occurs, and action is taken to recover that debt, the client shall incur all costs accrued by the debt collector in recovering the debt.
Make-up lessons may be scheduled when 48hrs notice is provided and Clients are encouraged to arrange make-up sessions. Please note that an appointment can only be rescheduled once (with 48hrs hours notice). Any request to reschedule a second time will result in the original appointment and associated fee being forfeited; after which a new appointment time will need to be booked and paid for.
Teaching holidays and public holidays will be confirmed at the beginning of the calendar year but may be subject to change.
Joy is in the House conducts 30 or 60-minute lessons (2 pm – 7 pm) on Mondays and Tuesdays. The lesson time begins at the appointed time, not when the client arrives for the lesson.
